Random encounters

Random encounters

Life is good

Random encounters.. first time I learned that english word was with the old pc rpg Fallout 1. I loved that game and still do. You would travel on the world map and depending on some skills your character has and also luck (you can create your own character with stats) you get a good or bad random encounter.

For example you could find a group of bandits attacking you, or a bunch of traders with a interesting inventory. A silly thing I found was a ufo with a Elvis Presley painting in it of great value.

Of course in many rpg like games you have encounters and travels you need to find, save, search and do all kinds of quests in that particular world. Like in real life we do to. Everyday when you exit your house you never know what you might find or bump into. Life is a game, work is one of the quests and people need all kind of help and give missions and rewards. Whether its reputation like in Fallout or money or materials.

Even when its one of those days you are feeling down you might have a little stroll and suddenly you see a beggar you decided to give some money. Or bump into a nice old lady and have a good chat. The world is full of little and big surprises bad and good everyday.

Keep that in mind next time you enter the world and think how dull life is. Its not!

And for the people who like to go out but dont know what to do there is:

Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants in the activity.

A volunteer-based worldwide network connecting travelers with members of local communities, who offer free accommodation and/or advice. I have a profile here.

Two beautifull websites for the adventurous mind !
